Description
A two day beginner’s course covering:
Day 1 – safety, parts of the lathe, hand tools and sharpening, essential spindle turning techniques and a spindle turning project
Day 2 – Turn a platter and then turn a bowl including grain orientation; effective chuck attachment; use of spindle and bowl gouge; sanding and finishing, ending with a Q&A
The 6 hours tuition each day excludes breaks and the finish time is approximate.
All equipment, materials, refreshments and lunch. (please inform me if you have any dietary requirements)
